Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel where a NULL pointer dereference could occur, leading to a kernel panic. This issue arises from a failure to clear
ctx work bits during an error condition on a CLOSE INSTANCE command within the s5p-mfc module. Subsequent execution could then trigger the dereference of a NULL pointer within the context, causing the system to crash.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
