Description
A memory leak exists in the
wilc mac xmit() function within the wilc1000 driver. The function returns NETDEV TX OK without freeing the socket buffer (skb), leading to a potential memory leak. This issue was addressed by adding dev kfree skb() to free the skb. Testing was limited to compilation.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
