No severity ratings or metrics are available. When they are, we'll update the corresponding info on the page.
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw exists in the Linux kernel's NFC subsystem that could lead to potential resource leaks. Specifically, the nfc get device() function acquires a reference to a device but fails to release it using nfc put device() when it is no longer needed. This oversight can result in resource exhaustion over time. Additionally, the code was updated to use the EOPNOTSUPP error code instead of ENOTSUPP to address a style warning.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
