Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s DRM subsystem related to the it6505 driver. Specifically, the HPD interrupt could be triggered before the it6505 device was fully registered as a DRM bridge during the boot process. This could lead to a NULL pointer dereference when the driver attempted to access the AUX channel. Initializing the AUX channel earlier prevents this error.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
