None

No severity ratings or metrics are available. When they are, we'll update the corresponding info on the page.
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s nilfs2 filesystem implementation where a corrupted superblock data field, specifically s log block size, if excessively large, can lead to a shift-out-of-bounds error during the init nilfs() and load nilfs() functions. This can result in a kernel panic if panic on warn is enabled. The issue stems from an insufficient sanity check when determining the block size. The fix introduces a helper function to obtain the block size with added validation.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
