Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s ath11k module related to the initialization of the
qmi msg handler data structure. Specifically, the qmi msg handler requires null termination by the QMI module. A missing handler for a message ID within the handlers array could lead to an infinite loop during handler searching and subsequent out-of-bounds access in the qmi invoke handler() function. This issue is addressed by updating the initialization of the qmi msg handler data structure.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
