Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s
xiic xfer() function related to runtime power management. Specifically, a runtime PM reference is not always released when the function exits due to an error path, leading to a resource leak. The issue occurs when the xiic xfer() function acquires a runtime PM reference upon entry and releases it upon normal exit, but fails to do so when exiting through a specific error path.Recommendations
