Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel related to null pointer dereferencing within the
of unittest find node by name() function. Specifically, if kmalloc() fails to allocate memory during the kasprintf() operation, the name or full name variables can become NULL. Subsequently, a strcmp() operation on these NULL values leads to a null pointer dereference.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
