CVE-2023-54201

None

No severity ratings or metrics are available. When they are, we'll update the corresponding info on the page.
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions linux (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw exists in the Linux kernel related to RDMA/efa resource deallocation. Specifically, the order of resource deallocation was incorrect, potentially leading to a refcount underflow when destroying Queue Pairs (QP) or Completion Queues (CQ). This occurs because memory regions are freed before the device is requested to destroy the object. If the device fails to destroy the object, subsequent destruction attempts can cause an underflow when decreasing an already zeroed refcount. The issue is addressed by deallocating resources in the reverse order of allocation.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
