CVSS v2.0

2.1

Low

VectorAV:L/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions prior to 6.3.0-rc7-next-20230418-00549-g1e096a17625a
Description The Linux kernel contains an issue in the ath11k driver related to the registration of 6Ghz-only PHYs. A 6Ghz-only PHY, where the Basic Data Format (BDF) does not support the 7115Mhz channel, will fail to register. This is due to a potential typo in the code. The error message observed during the failure indicates an issue within the wiphy register function during the hardware registration process.
Recommendations Update to a version later than 6.3.0-rc7-next-20230418-00549-g1e096a17625a.
