CVE-2023-54255

None

No severity ratings or metrics are available. When they are, we'll update the corresponding info on the page.
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw in the DMA channel offset calculation for SoCs of the SH3, SH4, and SH4A families. The existing implementation incorrectly calculates channel offsets, potentially leading to kernel panics. The issue arises from a failure to accommodate variations in the number of DMA channels distributed between DMAC modules. The dma base addr() function has been rewritten to correctly calculate channel offsets, and dmaor read reg() and dmaor write reg() have been updated to select the correct DMAC module base for DMAOR registers.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
