Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw in the
lontium-lt9611 driver where a NULL pointer dereference can occur within the lt9611 connector init() function. Specifically, the code dereferences the bridge->encoder pointer without ensuring it is not NULL, potentially leading to a system crash or other undefined behavior. The issue arises from a NULL check that occurs after the pointer has already been dereferenced.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
