Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel versions prior to 6.4.0-rc6+
Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the vduse module. Specifically, the
vduse vdpa set vq affinity callback function may be invoked with a NULL value as the cpu mask when a vduse device is being deleted. This can lead to a NULL pointer dereference, potentially causing a system crash. The issue occurs during the processing of virtual queue (virtqueue) affinity settings.Recommendations
Update to a version of the Linux kernel newer than 6.4.0-rc6+.
