CVE-2024-13435

CVSS v3.1

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Ebook Downloader plugin for WordPress versions prior to 1.1
Description The issue is related to SQL Injection via the download parameter due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This allows unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries, which can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
Recommendations For versions prior to 1.1, consider disabling the download parameter until a patch is available to prevent potential SQL Injection attacks. Restrict access to sensitive database information to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the download parameter in the affected plugin until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
