Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
ShipEngine Shipping Quotes plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.0.7
Description
The issue allows for SQL Injection via the
edit id parameter due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 1.0.7, update to a version later than 1.0.7 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
edit id parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.Fix
SQL injection
