Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Brizy – Page Builder plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.6.4
Description
The issue is related to the lack of file type validation in the
storeUploads function, which allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server. This may make remote code execution possible. Approximately 80,000 WordPress sites are potentially at risk.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.6.4, update to a version higher than 2.6.4 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
storeUploads function until a patch is available.
Restrict access to the upload functionality to minimize the risk of exploitation.Fix
