CVE-2024-13565

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Simple Map No Api plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.9
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the width parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.9, consider disabling the width parameter until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the plugin's functionality to minimize the risk of arbitrary web script injection. As a temporary workaround, limit Contributor-level access and above to prevent authenticated attackers from injecting malicious scripts. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
