Description The TCBD Tooltip plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's tcbdtooltip text shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.0, update the plugin to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the tcbdtooltip text shortcode to minimize the risk of exploitation.
