CVE-2024-13712

CVSS v3.1

4.9

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Pollin plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.01.1
Description The issue allows unauthenticated attackers to perform SQL Injection via the question parameter due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This enables attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries, which can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.01.1, consider disabling the question parameter until a patch is available to prevent SQL Injection attacks. Restrict access to sensitive database information to minimize the risk of exploitation.
