CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Bento4 version 1.6.0-641
Description A buffer overflow issue in Bento4 allows a local attacker to execute arbitrary code via the AP4 Stz2Atom::AP4 Stz2Atom component located in Ap4Stz2Atom.cpp. This enables local arbitrary code execution.
Recommendations For Bento4 version 1.6.0-641, consider disabling the AP4 Stz2Atom::AP4 Stz2Atom component as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the Ap4Stz2Atom.cpp file to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
