Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak issue has been resolved in the Linux kernel. The issue occurred in the venus helper alloc dpb bufs() implementation, where an early return on an error path could prevent the release of earlier buffer allocations. The problem was fixed by moving the direct kfree() from the error checking of dma alloc attrs() to the common fail path, ensuring that allocations are released on all error paths in this function.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
