Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A issue in the Linux kernel has been identified where the driver does not properly guard against invalid local ports when processing events generated by the device's firmware. Specifically, the driver does not protect itself from events reported for the CPU port (local port 0), which can result in a NULL pointer dereference when trying to access 'struct mlxsw sp port' fields that are not initialized for the CPU port.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
