Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A issue in the Linux kernel has been resolved, related to non-access data TLB cache flush faults on parisc architecture. When a page is not present, non-access data TLB faults occur from the fdc and fic instructions in
flush user dcache range asm and flush user icache range asm, potentially leading to memory corruption. These faults also affect performance, especially on pa8800/pa8900 processors and earlier models. The problem is fixed by using flush cache pages() which flushes the cache using a tmp alias mapping.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
