CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A issue in the Linux kernel has been resolved, related to the handling of read-only devices in the memstick/mspro block component. The fix involves using set disk ro to propagate the read-only state to the block layer, rather than checking for it in the ->open function, which previously caused a reference leak in case of a read-only device.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
