Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A potential NULL pointer dereference issue has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the
sparx5 switchdev component. The issue arises from the possibility of devm kzalloc() returning a NULL pointer, which could lead to a dereference error if not properly checked. To prevent this, it is recommended to verify the db variable.Recommendations
For the Linux kernel, to mitigate this issue, consider adding a check for the
db variable to prevent the dereference of a NULL pointer.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
