CVE-2022-49189

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A calculation issue in the Linux kernel's clock framework, specifically in the clk-rcg2 module, has been identified. The problem arises from the display pixel clock's requirement to support certain M/N ratios, such as (2/3), which can result in underflow errors due to the final D value calculation. The current implementation lacks a check to ensure the D value falls within the accepted range for given M and N values. This issue has been addressed by updating the logic to calculate the final D value based on the range.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
