Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, related to VLAN filtering in the network subsystem. The issue occurs when changes to VLAN filtering are not properly handled for cross-chip notifications, leading to array out-of-bounds accesses and crashes on certain systems, such as those using the mv88e6xxx chip. This happens when a port leaves a bridge, causing the
dsa port vlan filtering function to be called with a non-existing port.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
