CVE-2022-49258

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A use after free issue has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the crypto subsystem, ccree module. The problem arises when kfree sensitive(ctx p->user.key) frees the ctx p->user.key, but this key is still used afterwards, leading to a use after free condition. This can be mitigated by calling kfree sensitive() after dev dbg() to avoid the use after free.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
