CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A null pointer dereference issue was found in the Linux kernel, specifically in the pl031 Real-Time Clock (RTC) driver. The issue occurs when there is no interrupt line and the RTC alarm feature is disabled. The clearing of the RTC FEATURE ALARM bit was being done before the allocation of the ldata->rtc device, resulting in a null pointer dereference. The fix involves clearing the RTC FEATURE ALARM bit after the RTC device is allocated.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
