CVE-2022-49387

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A 32bit overflow issue has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the watchdog component rzg2l wdt. The issue arises when the value of timer cycle us can be 0 due to the overflow. This occurs when computing maxval with a counter value such as 0xfff. The problem is resolved by appending ULL to 1024, promoting it to 64bit, which also fixes a warning message related to invalid min and max timeout values.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
