Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A refcount leak issue has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the sparcspkr input module. The
of find node by path() function calls of find node opts by path(), which returns a node pointer with an incremented refcount. To prevent a refcount leak, it is necessary to use of node put() on the node pointer when it is no longer needed.Recommendations
For the Linux kernel, add a missing
of node put() call in the bbc beep probe function to avoid the refcount leak.Exploit
