Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A use-after-free issue exists in the Linux kernel's Bluetooth implementation. This occurs when the same socket is connected twice consecutively in
sco sock connect(), leading to a race condition where two sco conn objects are created, but only one is associated with the socket. If the socket is closed before the SCO connection is established, the timer associated with the dangling sco conn object won't be canceled, resulting in a use-after-free problem when the timer callback function sco sock timeout() accesses the socket.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
