Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved. The issue is related to the loop driver, where the lo device stored in the gendisk private data may not be valid until the gendisk is freed. The loop driver currently takes significant effort to prevent a device from being freed while still in use, but this will be relaxed to fix a potential deadlock.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
