VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A use-after-free (UAF) bug has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the dm9000 drv remove function. The issue arises when the dm variable, which is netdev private data, is used after the free netdev() call. This can cause a UAF bug. The problem is similar to a previously fixed issue in the emac remove function. The bug was detected using a static analysis tool.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
