Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, related to the ASTDP transmitter taking up to 1 second to enable the video signal, while the timeout is only 200 msec, resulting in a kernel error message. The issue is cosmetic, as enabling the video signal still works even with the error message. The problem has always been present but only recent versions of the ast driver warn about missing the timeout.
