CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, related to incorrect autogroup migration detection. The issue occurred because the scx move task() function, which is called from sched move task(), could not properly distinguish between cgroup and autogroup migrations. This led to incorrect ignoring of a migration from a non-root cgroup to an autogroup of the root cgroup, triggering a warning. The vulnerability is related to the sched ext component and the scx cgroup can attach() function.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
