Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A issue in the Linux kernel has been resolved, specifically in the batman-adv component. The problem occurs when the
batadv hardif neigh node and batadv hard iface are freed before the batadv v elp throughput metric update work is finished, due to a lack of guarantee that the hard interface will remain associated with a soft interface. This can cause a crash, which can be triggered by a reboot. The crash is characterized by a call trace that includes batadv v mesh free, batadv v elp throughput metric update, and other functions.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
