Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A potential NULL pointer dereference issue was found in the Linux kernel, specifically in the drm/amdgpu component. The
atomctrl get smc sclk range table() function does not check the return value of smu atom get data table(), which can return NULL if it fails to retrieve the SMU Info table. This NULL value is later dereferenced, potentially causing an issue. However, in practice, this should not occur as the code is only called on Polaris chips, where the vbios data table is always present.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
