CVE-2024-58074

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved. The issue is related to the drm/i915 component, where the intel display is grabbed from the encoder to avoid potential problems. Specifically, the code now grabs intel display from 'encoder' rather than 'state' in the encoder hooks. This change avoids a potential issue with intel sanitize encoder(), which passes NULL as the 'state' argument to encoder functions like disable() and post disable().
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
