No severity ratings or metrics are available. When they are, we'll update the corresponding info on the page.
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the
ptp clock settime() function. This function incorrectly assumes that every precision time protocol (PTP) clock has implemented the settime64() function, potentially leading to a NULL dereference. The issue is addressed by stubbing the function with -EOPNOTSUPP to prevent this dereference. The fix mirrors a previous commit related to gve: Implement settime64 with -EOPNOTSUPP.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
