Description The Phlox theme for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting through the data-caption HTML attribute. Insufficient input sanitization and output escaping allow authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts will execute when a user accesses the affected page. The vulnerable parameter is data-caption.

Recommendations Update the Phlox theme to a version beyond 2.17.7.
