Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
versions prior to 2025
Description
A memory corruption issue exists when handling buffer mapping operations within the cryptographic driver. The issue involves a flaw in how the driver manages memory, potentially leading to crashes or unexpected behavior. Approximately 100,000 devices worldwide may be affected. The issue occurs during buffer mapping operations, specifically when the cryptographic driver processes data. The vulnerable component is the cryptographic driver, and the affected operation involves mapping buffers. The issue can be triggered by manipulating the
buffer size variable during the mapping process. The mapBuffer() function is involved in the vulnerability.Recommendations
