Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel versions prior to 6.19.0-rc7+
Description
The Linux kernel contained an issue in the mm/slab subsystem related to memory allocation tagging. Specifically, the
alloc tagging slab free hook was not correctly implemented in the memcg alloc abort single path, leading to a warning when memcg slab post alloc hook() failed. This could occur when a specific allocation size was not equal to 1, resulting in the warning message: 'alloc tag was not cleared'. This issue was identified when CONFIG MEM ALLOC PROFILING DEBUG was enabled.Recommendations
Update to a version newer than 6.19.0-rc7+.
