Description Improper error checking during VBA data decompression in the Snort 3 VBA feature can allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the Snort 3 Detection Engine to crash, resulting in a denial-of-service (DoS) condition. An attacker can exploit these issues by sending crafted VBA data to the Snort 3 Detection Engine.
