Description
A flaw exists in the Snort 3 Detection Engine’s binder module initialization logic. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this by sending specific packets through an established connection parsed by Snort 3. Successful exploitation may lead to a denial-of-service (DoS) condition as the Snort 3 Detection Engine unexpectedly restarts, interrupting packet inspection.
