CVSS v2.0

5.2

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw in the net/mlx5e module where the PSP (Profile Support Package) can be unregistered twice. This occurs through both the mlx5e remove and mlx5e nic cleanup functions calling mlx5e psp unregister, leading to a refcount underflow and potential use-after-free condition. The issue is observed in the function calls mlx5e remove -> mlx5e psp unregister and mlx5e nic cleanup -> mlx5e psp unregister.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
