7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the ksmbd module. Specifically, a use-after-free condition can occur in the ksmbd tree connect put function under conditions of high concurrency. This happens when a tree-connection object (tcon) is freed during a disconnect process while another process still holds a reference to it and attempts to operate on it.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
