No severity ratings or metrics are available. When they are, we'll update the corresponding info on the page.
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contained a potential deadlock situation within the f2fs filesystem. The deadlock involved a chain of locks held by kswapd and other processes during operations like inode eviction, truncation, and atomic write commits. The root cause was identified as a circular dependency between multiple locks (Lock A, Lock B, Lock C, and Lock D) acquired in different code paths. This could occur during filesystem reclaim, inode eviction, and I/O operations.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
