Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the iommu/mediatek driver related to reference handling of larb devices during probe operations. Specifically, the driver incorrectly drops references to larb devices, potentially leading to a use-after-free condition if a larb device hasn't been bound to its driver, causing a probe deferral. This issue is addressed by maintaining the expected references while the iommu driver is bound.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
