CVE-2025-71081

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw exists in the Linux kernel related to the ASoC (Audio System on Chip) STM32 SAI (Serial Audio Interface) driver. Specifically, the vulnerability involves a potential OF (Open Firmware) node leak during probe operations. The reference to the sync provider OF node is not always dropped when probing the platform device, leading to a memory leak. This can occur on platform probe failures or during driver unbind. A use-after-free condition may also arise if the DAI (Digital Audio Interface) is reprobed without first rebinding the platform driver.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
